Words: Fall Fan Dave And The Laptop Dancers are a Post-punk/Krautrock duo consisting of Boltonians Dave Bromwich and Ian Harber . Bolton is an old mill town, 10 miles North -West of Manchester, England. Dave Bromwich [vocals and music] still lives in Bolton, but Ian Harber [guitars and music] has since emigrated to Australia and lives in Elanora (about 60 miles south of Brisbane). Dave and Ian met at school and did some music together back in the eighties [The Terminal Bodies , Albert Fish] . In 2009, via Facebook they got back in touch and began working on songs together bouncing material back and forth over the internet. The band name comes from the fact that the music is composed on laptops and also uses Dave's internet username fallfandave.
In February 2010, they released their debut album [Mind-carved Canoe] on Invisiblegirl Records - a label run by Julia Adamson [ex of The Fall]. The album was warmly received on Salford City Radio by many of their DJs [Bob Osborne, Stephen Doyle, Tony Thornborough and Ian Rothwell]. In October 2010 they self-released a 4 song EP [The Unobtainable EP] . Their latest release is their fantastic second album [Yelling Boil] , released March 2011.
